The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) has unveiled the majestic Srivari model temple, offering a glimpse of the grandeur of Sri Venkateswara Swamy to the devotees of Northern India. This replica, spread across 2.89 acres, was inaugurated ahead of the Maha Kumbh Mela, the world’s largest religious gathering, beginning January 13.
A special Tiruchi Utsavam procession at the holy Triveni Sangam marked the momentous occasion, with holy Ganga water brought to the temple for sacred rituals. Guided by Venugopala Dikshitulu, the chief priest of Tirumala temple, the auspicious Vishvaksena Puja and Punyahavachana were performed to bless the temple and its future visitors.
The opening ceremony was accompanied by traditional offerings, including Nitya Homam and Mangala Neerajanam, followed by the darshan of Sri Venkateswara and the distribution of Prasadam to the gathered devotees.
In a moment of great spiritual significance, TTD officials—led by HDPP Secretary Sriram Raghunath and DyEO Gunabhushan Reddy—were present to oversee the celebrations. Daily Sevas, from Suprabhatam to Ekanta Seva, will be offered as per Tirumala traditions, ensuring devotees experience the temple’s divine atmosphere even in Prayagraj.
Special Srivari Kalyanams will take place on January 18, 26, February 3, and 12, as part of the ongoing celebrations. The TTD is also deploying a team of priests, Vedic scholars, and staff to accommodate the anticipated influx of pilgrims during the grand Maha Kumbh Mela.
May the blessings of Sri Venkateswara Swamy shower upon all who visit this sacred temple.
