A historic transformation unfolds in Tirumala.
The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams has launched India’s first AI-integrated Command and Control Centre at the Vaikuntam Queue Complex, alongside the new Venkatadri Nilayam Pilgrim Amenities Complex.
Inaugurated by Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu and Vice-President of India CP Radhakrishnan, this initiative marks a new era in temple management, safety, and devotion.
The ICCC integrates Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Digital Twin Maps to ensure smooth darshan, predict crowd flow, and enhance security across the sacred hills. With more than 6,000 AI cameras and NVIDIA-powered systems, the centre can process over 518 million events every day, setting a global standard for pilgrim management.
This initiative, supported by NRI philanthropists, strengthens Tirumala’s ability to provide a safe, organised, and spiritually elevating experience for every devotee of Sri Venkateswara. From facial recognition for missing persons to real-time congestion maps, technology now serves devotion.
Alongside this, the Venkatadri Nilayam complex will provide free accommodation for 4,000 pilgrims, with modern facilities, dining halls, and hot water around the clock. It reflects the temple’s vision of seva combined with comfort and compassion.
Chief Minister Naidu has directed officials to raise darshan capacity, ensure cleanliness, and maintain Tirumala’s 90% green cover. The ICCC will also safeguard digital spaces from misinformation and threats.
