India’s consumer economy just hit its highest Navratri sales in over a decade, powered by the Modi government’s NextGen GST reforms. Lower tax rates and rationalised GST slabs have boosted confidence and made products more affordable across sectors.
From Maruti Suzuki’s best-ever performance to soaring sales of Hyundai, Mahindra, Tata Motors, and Hero MotoCorp, this Navratri turned into an economic celebration. Maruti alone delivered 1.65 lakh vehicles, including a record 30,000 cars in a single day — its best in 35 years.
In the electronics segment, brands like Haier, LG, and Reliance Retail posted massive double-digit growth. Haier sold out premium TVs, while Reliance Retail and Vijay Sales reported 20–25% jumps in demand.
Experts say this festive season could contribute up to 45% of total annual festive sales, marking a huge win for India’s consumption-driven economy.
