The DGCA has declared the Puri Jagannath Temple a Red Zone for the next three years, until September 25, 2028. Anti-drone systems have been deployed to protect one of India’s most revered temples.

This strict action comes after repeated violations of the existing no-fly zone, with drones spotted hovering above the sacred premises. The move aims to safeguard devotees, the temple structure, and the sanctity of worship.

Under the Red Zone rules, no drone or unmanned aerial vehicle is allowed to fly over the temple. Operators must have a valid Unique Identification Number (UIN) from the DGCA to operate drones in nearby areas. Violators will face legal action.

The Puri Jagannath Temple is not just a religious landmark; it is a center of devotion for millions of Hindus. Protecting its sanctity is a duty of both authorities and devotees. Recent drone incidents raised alarm, reminding us that even sacred spaces must be shielded from unauthorized activity.

With this Red Zone classification, authorities are ensuring that the temple remains a safe, peaceful place for worship. Devotees can continue their prayers with faith, knowing that the sacred Jagannath Temple is now even more secure.
