India rejects Pakistan’s remarks on Ram Temple flag hoisting with contempt. A day after Pakistan expressed concern over the saffron flag raised on the shikhara at Ram Temple in Ayodhya, the Ministry of External Affairs issued a sharp response on Wednesday. MEA Spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal stated that Pakistan has no moral standing to lecture others and should focus on its own abysmal human rights record instead of delivering hypocritical homilies.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi hoisted the dharmadhwaja atop Ram Mandir on November 25, marking the completion of the temple’s main construction. Pakistan’s Foreign Office claimed the event reflected a broader pattern of pressure on religious minorities and an attempt to erode Muslim heritage under Hindutva ideology. India dismissed these accusations, pointing to Pakistan’s deeply stained record of bigotry, repression, and systemic mistreatment of its minorities, including Hindus, Sikhs, Christians, and Ahmadiyya Muslims.

Pakistan’s interference in India’s internal religious affairs is both absurd and offensive. A nation that has systematically decimated its Hindu population from 23 percent at Partition to less than 2 percent today has no right to comment on minority rights anywhere. While India builds temples on its sacred soil, Pakistan destroys its own heritage and silences its minorities.

This flag hoisting is a moment of Hindu pride and civilisational reclamation. Pakistan’s objections only expose its intolerance and hypocrisy. India will not be lectured by those who erase their own minorities.
