President Droupadi Murmu will begin her three-day visit to Uttar Pradesh on Thursday, marking the first day of the Hindu New Year with religious ceremonies in Ayodhya and spiritual exploration of Mathura and Vrindavan.
The visit kicks off at Ram Mandir, where the President will serve as the chief guest for a significant ceremony. She is expected to preside over the installation of Shri Ram Yantra on the temple’s second floor, leading the ritual alongside spiritual figure Mata Amritanandamayi. During her three-hour stay, she will personally honour several hundred workers whose craftsmanship and labour brought the sacred temple to life.
By Thursday evening, the President travels to Mathura, focusing on evening aarti ceremonies at ISKCON and Prem Mandir temples in Vrindavan. Friday includes intimate spiritual engagements, including a meeting with saint Shri Premanand Ji Maharaj and visits to Baba Neem Karoli memorial, Udiya Baba Ashram, and Davanal Kund.
Beyond spiritual activities, Friday highlights a healthcare milestone: the inauguration of the new Oncology Block at Ramakrishna Mission Sevashram, providing critical cancer treatment to a region where such facilities are often scarce. She will also visit Vatsalya Gram, founded by Sadhvi Ritambhara for the care of elderly and orphaned children.
The tour concludes Saturday morning at Danghati Temple in Govardhan. The President will perform traditional Govardhan Parikrama after morning prayers, covering the seven-mile circuit of the hill in an e-cart before departing for Delhi.
