The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) has officially taken possession of 10.33 acres of land in Guwahati for the construction of a grand Sri Venkateswara Swamy Temple.

The land, located in the Sonapur Circle of Kamrup district, was allotted by the Assam Government as part of TTD’s vision to establish Srivari temples in state capitals across India. The project reflects a growing effort to strengthen spiritual and cultural connections for Hindu communities across the nation.

TTD Chairman B.R. Naidu confirmed that the land possession process has been completed. The Assam Metropolitan Deputy Commissioner formally handed over the possession certificate to TTD, marking the beginning of a new chapter for devotees in the Northeast.

The initiative received support from the Andhra Pradesh government, the TTD Trust Board, and several officials who worked closely with the Assam authorities to advance the project.

Most importantly, devotees will soon witness the Bhoomi Puja, which is expected to take place shortly before construction begins.
