The Bankе Bihari Temple Corridor project in Vrindavan, near Mathura, has gained fresh momentum as the administration has completed yet another land registration in the name of the temple. The move is part of a larger plan to develop public facilities around Shri Banke Bihari Mandir and to create a smooth, safe, and well‑managed pilgrimage experience for devotees.
Ravindra Kumar Hada, Narayan Hada, and Manju Hada have formally registered their land in the name of Shri Thakur Banke Bihari Ji through the office of the Tehsildar Sader, making this the latest addition to the corridor‑project land‑pool.
According to district officials, the administration has now secured 13 transcriptions (bainams) in which a total of 1,386.82 square metres of land has been formally registered for the Banke Bihari Corridor, which is being treated as a major milestone in the project’s progress.
The Additional District Magistrate (Finance and Revenue), Pankaj Verma, said the administration is in continuous contact with the owners of houses and shops around the temple area to acquire land through mutual consent rather than coercion.
He noted that the corridor plan initially faced local opposition, but people are now beginning to understand its necessity and the benefits it will bring. The corridor is being framed as essential for better traffic management, safety, sanitation, and orderly darshan of Banke Bihari Ji, given the steadily rising number of devotees visiting Vrindavan.
The land registration was carried out under the supervision of Sader Tehsildar Amit Tripathi, with the district administration pointing to the move as another “positive step” in the direction of the corridor’s construction. By voluntarily registering their land in the temple’s name, residents are signaling a growing acceptance of the project, which is intended to replicate, in spirit, the Kashi Vishwanath Corridor model and to turn the Banke Bihari area into a better‑organized, more dignified, and seva‑oriented pilgrimage zone for Hindi‑hearted Hindu devotees.
