A shocking incident has shaken the Hindu community in Jaipur. In the Bhankrota area, idols, jewellery, and donation money were stolen from a Radha Krishna temple in the early hours of Tuesday.
According to the chief priest, Ramswaroop Sharma, the temple was locked at night as usual. But by 4:30 am, he received the distressing call. When he reached the temple, he found the locks broken and the sanctum desecrated.
The stolen items include the sacred murti of Radha Krishna, Laddu Gopal, and valuable Chatras. The Chatras alone are estimated to be worth nearly Rs 15 to 20 lakh. Along with them, around Rs 90,000 in donation money was looted.
The entire act was captured on CCTV cameras, now being reviewed by police. For devotees, however, this is not just theft. It is a deep wound on their faith. The sanctity of a temple, where prayers echo daily, has been violated.
Incidents like these raise serious questions on the safety of temples and the respect given to Hindu places of worship. The community now waits for swift investigation and recovery of the sacred murtis.
Faith stands strong, but the pain is undeniable.
