Mumbai bids farewell to Bappa as this year’s Ganesh Chaturthi comes to a grand conclusion. Despite heavy rain in the initial days and a bomb threat on Friday, the spirit of devotion remained unshaken. Thousands of devotees gathered for visarjan processions across Maharashtra, especially in Mumbai.
At Lalbaug, the iconic Lalbaugcha Raja was offered final prayers before being immersed amid chants, flower showers, and dhol beats. Crowds danced in celebration, reflecting deep love and faith. Similar scenes unfolded across the state – in Nagpur, Pune, Hyderabad, and other cities – as devotees accompanied their beloved Lord Ganesh on his final journey.
The festival, spanning 10 days, was marked by soul-stirring aartis, modak offerings, and gatherings despite obstacles. The bomb threat, later revealed as a hoax, could not deter the devotion that defines Ganeshotsav.
Ganesh Chaturthi is more than a festival – it is a celebration of unity, faith, and resilience. It reminds us that Lord Ganesh, the remover of obstacles, guides every home and heart.
As the idols return to water, the blessings of Bappa remain with the people, inspiring strength and togetherness through challenges. The spirit of devotion lives on.
