Bageshwar Dham chief warns Hindus must unite after Delhi blast. Dhirendra Shastri halts music during padyatra, questions terror pattern.

Bageshwar Dham chief Dhirendra Krishna Shastri responded to the Delhi blast by halting music and songs during his Sanatan Hindu Ekta Padyatra, which has 20,000 to 25,000 participants. He declared that if Hindus stand united, such blasts will not occur, questioning why people from only one community are repeatedly named in terror incidents. Shastri warned that eight people have died so far, but if Hindus fail to unite, the number could rise to 80,000. He claimed foreign powers were attempting to intimidate India and urged a collective response.

The 170-kilometre padyatra began on November 7 from Chhatarpur Temple in Delhi and will conclude on November 16 at Vrindavan’s Banke Bihari Temple. Now on its sixth day, the yatra has covered significant ground through Haryana and is entering Uttar Pradesh. Shastri highlighted that explosives were found at a house near the starting point, connected to terrorist organisations. He emphasised that delaying Hindu unity will further decline the Hindu population numbers and called for such solidarity that rioters would not dare step outside.

The padyatra aims to establish social harmony, make India a glorious Hindu nation, clean the Yamuna river, declare the cow as the national mother, and reconstruct ancient Vrindavan. Celebrities, including cricketer Shikhar Dhawan and wrestler Great Khali, have participated. Devotees showered flowers from rooftops and cranes along the route while Shastri sat on the ground eating with elderly devotees and playing drums.
