From early morning, large numbers of devotees visited the ancient temple to perform Jalabhishek and offer prayers to Lord Bholenath, marking the start of the sacred Shravan month. The temple, dedicated to Lord Daksha Prajapati, holds special significance during the Kanwar Yatra, as it is considered the first stop for Kanwariyas before proceeding to Har Ki Pauri for the Ganga jal offering.
The month of Shravan, also known as Sawan, is considered one of the holiest months in the Hindu calendar, dedicated to the worship of Lord Shiva. Every Monday during this period is regarded as highly auspicious, and devotees observe fasts, perform rituals, and visit Shiva temples across the country.
Devotees from across the country and neighbouring states gathered at the temple, with many undertaking long journeys to offer their prayers. The atmosphere was filled with devotional chants of “Har Har Mahadev” and “Namah Shivaya” as worshippers sought blessings for the fulfillment of their wishes.
Security arrangements were strengthened around the temple to manage the large influx of devotees and ensure a smooth darshan experience. Special arrangements were made for the convenience of pilgrims, including water, sanitation, and medical facilities.
