A staffer of the Shri Badrinath-Kedarnath Temple Committee has been suspended after allegations of irregularities in donation management at Badrinath Dham.
The action came after a preliminary inquiry found prima facie concerns in the handling of offerings. The temple committee has already begun its own investigation, while the Uttarakhand government has also formed a separate probe committee on the directions of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami.
The matter gained attention after allegations surfaced over the counting of offerings at the sacred shrine. A complaint was later filed seeking a detailed inquiry and strict action. The temple committee has said it follows a zero-tolerance policy on corruption and that anyone found guilty will face departmental and legal action.
