A sacred treasure from the past surfaces in Bhagavan Shree Ram’s sacred land. This ancient Devanagari script holds whispers of Sanatana Dharma’s glory.

In Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh, a rare manuscript estimated at 150 to 200 years old was discovered. Written in Devanagari script, it showcases ancient letter forms with open bases and attached vowel marks, distinct from modern styles. Authorities will soon transfer it to the International Ram Katha Museum for expert preservation.

Museum Director Sanjeev Kumar Singh confirmed its age through script analysis, tracing evolution from Nagari to Devanagari. The find adds to Ayodhya’s rich collection of Ramayana artifacts. It joins other treasures like ancient Valmiki Ramayana manuscripts already housed there.

Ayodhya stands as the eternal birthplace of Bhagavan Shree Ram, the heart of Sanatana Dharma. The International Ram Katha Museum, now under Shree Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, safeguards global Ramayana heritage, including inscriptions and copper plates. Such discoveries revive Vedic scholarship and Hindu cultural continuity.

Preserving these scriptures protects irreplaceable links to Hindu itihasa and devotion. They inspire pilgrims and scholars visiting Ayodhya’s sacred sites.

This manuscript fortifies Ayodhya as a global beacon of Sanatana Dharma, ensuring Bhagavan Shree Ram’s eternal katha endures.

Jay Shree Ram.
