A specially crafted flag made in Ahmedabad will be hoisted atop the Shree Ram Janmabhoomi temple spire in Ayodhya on November 25, 2025. The flag measures 22 feet in length and 11 feet in width and is produced by a renowned Ahmedabad firm specializing in parachute and flag manufacturing.

Made from special parachute fabric combined with silk satin threads, the flag is designed to endure harsh weather, including strong sunlight, heavy rain, and winds up to 60 km/h. It is mounted on a 42-foot tall flagpole on a 360-degree rotating chamber with ball bearings, allowing the flag to rotate smoothly with the wind while maintaining its integrity and elegance.

Seven to eight skilled artisans, led by craftsman Rakesh Metkar, worked meticulously to create the intricate embroidery and rich texture that reflects deep devotion and India’s cultural heritage. The family-owned firm, established 80 years ago by Kashyab Mewada’s grandfather in Dasada, Gujarat, used layered silk satin for durability and grandeur.

The flag hoisting ceremony will be part of the grand celebration marking the completion of the Ram Mandir construction. The flag serves as a symbol of faith, tradition, and national pride for millions of devotees and is a significant milestone in the temple’s history.
