President Droupadi Murmu made a spiritually significant visit to Lord Venkateswara temple in Tirumala on November 20, 2025. Accompanied by family, she followed tradition by first praying at Sri Bhu Varaha Swamy temple before proceeding to the main shrine.

At the temple main entrance, she received ceremonial Istikapal honours from TTD officials including chairman B.R. Naidu and Executive Officers Anilkumar Singhal and Venkaiah Chowdary. Inside the sanctum sanctorum, the chief priest briefed her on the temple’s significance and presented her with Sesha Vastram. Vedic scholars blessed her with Vedasirvachanams, and she was offered traditional Laddu Prasadam, a memento, new year diary, and calendars.

During departure, President Murmu warmly interacted with waiting pilgrims near Ram Bagaicha rest house, distributing chocolates and earning generous applause, briefly disrupting tight security protocols that kept media at bay. Her visit was attended by Endowments Minister Anam Ramnarayana Reddy, local Collector Dr. Venkateswarlu, SP L. Subbarayudu, and temple trustees.

After completing her two-day pilgrimage, she traveled to Tirupati and then flew to Hyderabad. The visit reflected deep devotion and inspired devotees with the President’s humility and grace in the sacred temple surroundings.
