Vice President C.P. Radhakrishnan inaugurated the renovated Rajagopura of Veerabhadreswara Temple in Yadur village, Chikkodi taluk of Belagavi district, Karnataka.

The Vice President also participated in the Mahakumbha Abhishekam of Lord Shiva at the historic temple. Karnataka Governor Thawarchand Gehlot and State Minister Satish Jarkiholi attended the event.

VP Radhakrishnan highlighted the Hindu philosophy of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam – the world is one family. He praised Shiva Yogi Shri Kadasiddheshwar Swamiji, who rediscovered the sacred site.

The temple was revived after remaining hidden for a long period. Subsequent pontiffs of Shri Kadasiddheshwar Mutt maintained the rituals and oversaw renovation work. Rajagopuram represents continuity of faith.

The Vice President called the event a moment of spiritual resurgence and civilizational reaffirmation. He said Sanatana Dharma faces challenges but cannot be erased, emphasizing the temple’s living tradition.

VP Radhakrishnan’s inauguration restores the glory of Karnataka’s Veerabhadreswara Temple through the renovation of the Rajagopura, ensuring sacred traditions continue for future generations at the historic Yaduru shrine.
