Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi has unveiled the 2026 English New Year wall calendar, desk calendar, and special diary brought out by the Shree Jagannath Temple Administration after first offering them at Srimandir on Dhanu Sankranti. The launch links state leadership directly with the service of presenting Jagannath-centric devotional material to devotees.
The new publications carry carefully curated images of Mahaprabhu Jagannath in different beshas and key moments from the world-famous Rath Yatra, depicted through traditional Odisha art forms like sand art, pattachitra, palm leaf engraving, and stone carving. These calendars and diaries are meant not just as date-keepers but as daily reminders of darshan, culture, and Odia pride rooted in the Jagannath tradition.
SJTA officials and senior district authorities were present as the Chief Minister underlined how such initiatives help preserve and spread Odisha’s civilisational heritage centred on Lord Jagannath. The calendars and diaries will soon be available to devotees at Shree Mandir information centres in Puri and Bhubaneswar, allowing families to bring home a piece of Srimandir’s spiritual and artistic legacy for the coming year.
