Kanaka Durga Temple Hundi Crosses ₹3 Crore

Kanaka Durga Temple in Vijayawada recorded ₹3.35 crore hundi collections in just 18 days. Average daily income stood at ₹18.66 lakh, showing strong devotee support.

Devotees offered ₹3,35,86,637 cash along with 302 grams of gold and 3.01 kg of silver during the period. Hundi counting is done on Wednesday by temple authorities.

Collections included dollars, pounds and dirhams from the USA, UK, UAE, Singapore, Australia, Canada, Qatar and others. Indicates NRI devotees’ continued support for Indrakeeladri shrine.

EO V.K. Seena Naik inspected Durga Ghat on the Krishna River banks. Reviewed facilities for holy dips and discussed new access routes to reduce congestion during peak season.

The 18-day total reflects consistent pilgrim turnout at Sri Durga Malleswara Swamy Varla Devasthanam. Temple prepares for improved ghat infrastructure serving thousands daily.
