40×40-inch Sanatan Rakhi with Rashtra Bhav theme offered to Khajrana Ganesh temple on Raksha Bandhan in Indore, Madhya Pradesh

A 40×40-inch ‘Sanatan Rakhi’ themed on national sentiment was offered to Lord Khajrana Ganesh in Indore on Raksha Bandhan, Friday.

The Rakhi, prepared by the Matrishree Palrecha family, was offered at five temples, including the Alija Sarkar Hanuman Temple. Additionally, Rakhis were also offered at the Mahakal Temple in Ujjain, Chintaman Ganesh and Chhota Ganapati.

Shantu Pundarik Palrecha and Dheeraj Palrecha said that on Thursday, Cabinet Minister Kailash Vijayvargiya, MLA Malini Gaud, former MLA Sudarshan Gupta, along with market office bearers and city residents, came to see the Rakhi. National consciousness and symbols of Sanatan culture have been placed at the centre of the Rakhi. Keeping in mind the 150 years of ‘Vande Mataram’, it was prepared on the theme of national sentiment.

The festival of Raksha Bandhan, celebrating the bond of love, trust and protection between brothers and sisters, is being celebrated with joy on Friday. On Bhadra-free Shravan Purnima, Rakhi can be tied throughout the day. According to the panchang, the Purnima tithi began on August 27 at 9:08 am and will remain until August 28 at 9:48 am.

This time, Bhadra will end before sunrise on Raksha Bandhan, so there will be no need to wait due to Bhadra for tying Rakhi. According to astrologer Shyamprasad Tiwari, the afternoon period is given special importance for Raksha Bandhan in the panchang. In such a case, Rakhi can be tied throughout the day considering the sunrise date.
