TTD has clarified that the temporary white appearance of water from taps at the Sri Japali Anjaneya Swamy Temple in Tirumala is due to microscopic air bubbles formed when water is released under high pressure.
The aeration makes the water look cloudy for a few seconds, after which it returns to its normal clear state. Experts say this is a physical effect and not a sign of contamination.
Water samples were tested at the TTD Food and Water Analysis Laboratory. Results confirmed the water is clean and safe for use, with no foul odour, sediment, or visible impurities detected.
TTD has urged devotees and the public not to share or amplify unverified information on social media and assured everyone there is no cause for concern regarding the quality of water at the temple.
