Devotees entered the Bhojshala complex in Dhar on Saturday to offer prayers after the Indore Bench of Madhya Pradesh High Court declared the disputed site a temple. Devotees performed hawan in the hawan kund, marking the first unrestricted worship at the sacred site in decades.

The court ruled that the complex is fundamentally a temple dedicated to Goddess Vagdevi Saraswati from the Bhoj-Parmar dynasty era. Historical records and architectural references established it as an 11th-century Sanskrit learning centre under Raja Bhoj. Hindu worship has never been extinguished at this site, the court affirmed.

The judgment quashed ASI’s 2003 order permitting Muslims to offer Friday namaz while restricting Hindus to Tuesday puja. ASI now grants Hindus unrestricted access 365 days a year for worship and Sanskrit learning. The court suggested the Muslim side may seek alternate land for a mosque in Dhar.

The Archaeological Survey of India will oversee the property’s preservation and administration. Security remains tightened in Dhar district as devotees celebrate this historic vindication of Sanatana Dharma.

Bhojshala’s sacred identity as a Goddess Saraswati temple has been restored through truth and heritage. Follow Dharmic News for updates on this landmark verdict.
