The Andhra Pradesh government has approved Rs 47.44 crore to renovate 39 temples in East Godavari and Konaseema districts ahead of Godavari Pushkarams 2027.
Rs 23.65 crore allocated for 18 temples in East Godavari district. Rs 23.79 crore sanctioned for 21 temples in Konaseema district. Works aim to improve facilities for lakhs of devotees expected during the 12-day festival.
Rs 1 crore for Sri Rama Satyanarayana Swamy Temple’s mukha mandapam reconstruction in Rajamahendravaram. Rs 3 crore for PMK Satram Pind Pradhan Hall. Goshpada Kshetram in Kovvur gets Rs 3 crore for a complete rebuild.
Rs 2.80 crore for Goutami Jeevakarunya Sangham kitchen reconstruction. Rs 1 crore for Lakshmi Janardana Swamy and Anjaneya Swamy temples in Dowaleswaram. Rs 70 lakh for Lakshmi Narayana Annadana Samajam building.
Renovation works target completion within one year. The endowments department is preparing a detailed action plan. Upgrades ensure better pilgrim facilities during the sacred river festival, attracting crores of devotees for holy dips.
Funds sanctioned for Bala Tripura Sundari Temple, Ramalingeswara Swamy Temple at Lakshmivarapupeta, Venugopala Swamy Temple and more. Works strengthen the infrastructure for seamless celebrations during Godavari Pushkaralu.
