PM Modi, Amit Shah, top leaders wish the nation happiness, togetherness, prosperity on Onam

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah and top leaders across the political spectrum extended heartfelt Onam greetings to the nation on Wednesday, wishing happiness, togetherness and prosperity for all.

Prime Minister Modi said the vibrant festival is celebrated with great enthusiasm across the world. “May this festival further strengthen the spirit of happiness, togetherness and prosperity,” Modi said in a post on X. He prayed that Onam would further empower these values in society.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah offered his Onam greetings, wishing peace, prosperity and well-being for the people of Keralam. “Greetings to our sisters and brothers of Keralam on the auspicious occasion of Onam. May this joyous occasion usher in a year filled with peace, prosperity and well-being for all,” Shah said.

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Union Ministers Piyush Goyal and Shivraj Singh Chouhan, and Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta were among other leaders who extended greetings on the occasion. Congress leaders including Rahul Gandhi, Mallikarjun Kharge and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra also wished people love, joy, peace and communal harmony.

Kerala Chief Minister VD Satheesan called for transcending caste and religious differences, promoting love, equality and unity. President Droupadi Murmu also extended Onam greetings to Malayalees worldwide.
