Jambukeswarar Temple’s grand chariot procession marked the climax of the Panguni Brahmotsavam, with thousands pulling massive rathams for Lord Shiva and Akilandeswari.
2,000-year-old water element temple showcased a divine spectacle. The festival began on February 26 with Dwajarohanam, leading to today’s highlight after daily vahanam processions.
Main deity chariot halted at the southwest corner, followed by Akilandeswari ratham. Bhaktas chanted Namah Shivaya and Thennaadudaya Sivane Potri, circling four temple streets.
Hindu Religious Endowments ensured smooth arrangements with 100 police personnel. Festival concludes April 15 with Mandala Abhishekam marking Tamil solar year transition.
