OCTOPUS conducted a mock anti-terror drill at Tirumala temple in Andhra Pradesh to strengthen pilgrim security and prepare for emergency response.
The exercise was carried out in close coordination with the local police, TTD, Vigilance Department, the fire department, and other allied agencies. It aimed to rehearse standard operating protocols in case of any terrorist infiltration at the high-security pilgrimage site.
The drill reflects the growing emphasis on safety at major Hindu pilgrimage centres, where large crowds require constant vigilance and coordinated response systems.
