Devotees visiting the Arulmigu Dhandayuthapani Swamy Temple in Palani can now book ropeway rides online, with the new facility beginning on July 6.

The temple administration has also started a trial online reservation system for devotees who wish to attend the temple’s six daily pujas. For the ropeway, devotees can book through the official website, choose a time slot, and pay Rs 100 for a one-way ride from the foothills to the hill temple.

Under the current arrangement, 50 devotees with online bookings will be allowed between 8 am and 12 pm, and another 50 between 5 pm and 7 pm each day. The temple has also introduced a limited online puja booking system, with only five tickets available for each puja during the trial phase.

Temple officials said an online room booking facility for accommodation will also be introduced soon.
