A devotee from Dewas district in Madhya Pradesh has offered 19 silver bars weighing 11.4 kg at the Shri Sanwaliyaji Temple in Chittorgarh, Rajasthan.
The offering, made on Wednesday, is estimated to be worth around Rs 25.65 lakh at current market rates. The devotee chose to remain anonymous and told temple authorities that he had prayed at the shrine for the fulfilment of a wish related to his son. After his wish was granted, he returned to offer the silver bars as a mark of gratitude.
Temple officials said the silver has been deposited securely in the temple treasury after completing the required formalities. The Rajasthan Bullion Association confirmed the valuation of the silver based on prevailing prices.
The Sanwaliyaji Temple is regarded as one of India’s prominent Lord Krishna shrines and draws devotees from Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, and other states. Many pilgrims return with offerings of cash, gold, silver, or other valuables when they believe their prayers have been answered.
