Goa Tourism has launched the Ekadasha Teertha Yatra, a specially curated three-day pilgrimage circuit connecting eleven revered temples across the state, to strengthen Goa’s spiritual tourism landscape.
The initiative was inaugurated by Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant at Shree Mahaganapati Temple in Khandola, in the presence of Tourism Minister Rohan A Khaunte and other dignitaries. Two dedicated pilgrimage buses were flagged off to operate along the circuit, making the journey more accessible and comfortable for devotees and visitors.
The three-day itinerary covers key temples representing Goa’s centuries-old temple traditions. Day one includes Shree Mahaganapati Devasthan (Khandola), Shree Devkikrishna Devasthan (Marcel), Shree Anant Devasthan (Savoi-Verem), and Shree Mahadev Temple (Tambdi Surla). Day two covers Shree Brahmadev Devasthan (Brahma Karmali, Valpoi), Shree Saunsthan Dattawadi (Sankhali), and Shree Saptakoteshwar Devasthan (Narve). Day three includes Shree Parashuram Devalaya (Poinguinim), Shree Shantadurga Kunkalikarin Devasthan (Fatorpa), Shree Damodar Temple (Zambaulim), and Shree Hari Mandir (Margao).
Chief Minister Pramod Sawant said the Ekadasha Teertha Yatra will encourage both devotees and tourists to discover Goa’s sacred destinations beyond its beaches. Tourism Minister Rohan Khaunte called it a significant milestone in the state’s Goa Beyond Beaches vision, aimed at showcasing the region’s rich spiritual heritage.
