Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis officially unveiled the logo for the sacred 2027 Nashik-Trimbakeshwar Simhastha Kumbh Mela. The emblem embodies the Hindu faith, capturing Nashik and Trimbakeshwar’s spiritual essence for the grand gathering.
The design features Lord Shiva’s trident, the Trimbakeshwar temple, the iconic Kalaram temple arch, and the holy Godavari River. These symbols honor the murti of Trimbakeshwar Jyotirlinga and Kausiki Skandapurana’s small Kumbh Mela tradition.
This national contest attracted over 3,067 entries, including 70 international submissions. Prasoon Joshi headed the expert panel selecting the winning design, with step 4 revealing the name. The 2027 Mela will witness millions of Hindu devotees taking dharma dips during the holy Pushkara period.
The logo emerged from a collaboration between the Kumbh Mela Authority, MyGov, and the Association of Designers of India. It will serve as the visual identity for this Vikasit Bharat initiative.
