Rajasthan’s 2026 Gangaur Festival concluded with a majestic procession of Gangaur Mata from Tripolia Gate at Jaipur’s City Palace.

Married women worship Goddess Gauri (Parvati) for 18 days, seeking marital harmony and husband longevity. Festival honors Lord Shiva and the divine union through elaborate rituals.

The procession featured decorated elephants, chariots, and palanquins, with women in bridal ghagra-cholis carrying ghudlias. The route passed Tripolia Bazaar, Chhoti Chaupar, and Gangauri Bazaar amid shehnai music.

Streets bloomed with marigolds and diyas, as thousands gathered, witnessing the Kachwaha dynasty heritage. Ghoomar dances, folk songs celebrated harvest and family prosperity.

Gangaur’s royal send-off reaffirms Rajasthan’s timeless Hindu traditions where women lead Shiva-Gauri devotion, strengthening marital sanctity through sacred processions and heartfelt prayers.
